DBA 607: Creating World
Class Company (4 credits)
In the world of business,
one rule of the game has changed forever. National boundaries have
disappeared and we have truly a global market. Hence, whether you are a
big multinational company spanning many countries or a small enterprise
serving the local market, you are bound to be facing world-class
competition in this open economy. How can we succeed against it and grow
our domestic business? More importantly, what attributes must we possess
to become world-class players ourselves and expand into other markets?
This module will explore seven attributes and one rule to become a
world-class company: differentiation, focus, thinking globally, the
perpetual spirit of innovation, sensitive radar system, retention of
talent, social and environmental responsibility. The Rule of 5 X 10 X 10
will also be examined.
